Softball Recap: Palmer Moose vs. Colony Knights
Palmer had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 7-6 to make it four. They lost 19-2 to the Colony Knights. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Moose couldn't push the score so high this time.
As for Colony, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games.
For Colony's part, the team relied heavily on Alexis Congdon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Congdon has posted since back in April. Morgan Gallagher was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Coming up, Palmer will square off against Redington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colony will be paying especially close attention to the Moose's matchup: after the Moose face off against Houston, they'll take on Colony again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
