Basketball Recap: Shadow Ridge Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Shadow Ridge and Faith Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Shadow Ridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Faith Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 61-58. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 60-50.

Faith Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Herpin, who posted 20 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Herpin is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Kloe Abdalla was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Shadow Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Faith Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 14-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Shadow Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Lutheran, they will square off against Centennial on Wednesday. Centennial will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Faith Lutheran surely won't give up without a fight.
