Logan Rolf made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off nine hits. At the plate, Malcolm got a massive performance out of Chase Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Smith has posted since back in May of 2024. Nolan Duzik also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Malcolm always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centennial only posted an OBP of .318.
The victory got Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer back to even at 9-9. As for Malcolm, their record now sits at 23-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Guardian Angels Central Catholic/West Point Beemer has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Malcolm struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
