Volleyball Recap: East Clinton Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

East Clinton came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Washington Blue Lions 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Astros, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

East Clinton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-8, 25-21.

Colie Murarescu paced East Clinton's offense, picking up six kills. Murarescu got some help from Emily Arnold and her 14 assists. Sahara Tate controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Washington's loss came despite strong showings from Alora Self and Gracie Moore. Self had 11 digs, while Moore had 12 digs. Self also served an ace, marking her first of the season.

East Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Washington, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Clinton will head out to square off against Eastern at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Washington, they will square off against Westland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
