Recap: Tri Titans vs. Fort Wayne Wayne Generals
It was a good run, but the Tri Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Fort Wayne Wayne by a score of 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Tri still got an impressive performance from Rylee Boyd, who scored 25 points along with five assists. Boyd has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Parham, who scored ten points.
Tri's loss dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Fort Wayne Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Tri will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Tipton at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Tipton: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Tri has snatched up 19 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season. Fort Wayne Wayne will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Winchester Community at 10:30 a.m. on December 27, 2023.
