Basketball Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short

Laurel lost against Parkdale back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Laurel Spartans lost to the Parkdale Panthers at home by a 57-40 margin.

Parkdale found their leader in freshman Zenai Ferebee, who went 10 for 15 on her way to 24 points and eight boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ferebee has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Youn, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Parkdale, their record now sits at 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel has already played their next match (against DuVal), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Parkdale Panthers take on the Northwestern Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
