            Softball Recap: Harding Skippers vs. Maplewood Rockets        
        
		
        
        
            Harding extended their losing streak  to three  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-14 in the process. They lost  16-2 to the Maplewood Rockets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  18-1  back in April.
 Harding saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sam Dodd, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  double. That  hit was  Dodd's first of the season. Another  was  Payton Miller, who  got on base  in both of her plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
As for Maplewood, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won ten games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 On Maplewood's side,  Claire Urchek was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Raegan Krieg, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs and one  triple.
 Coincidentally, Harding and Maplewood will both be playing Pymatuning Valley the next time they take the field. The Skippers will head out to face the Lakers at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday, while the Rockets will  host them  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
