Football Recap: Bettye Davis East Anchorage Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bettye Davis East Anchorage had lost eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 1-8 to make it nine. They took a blow against the West Anchorage Eagles, falling 33-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 back in August.

As for West Anchorage, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.4 points on average over those games.

West Anchorage had a senior duo take command as Rezhanai Wyche gained 160 total yards and two touchdowns and Ariel Misa threw for 236 yards and a pair of TDs.

Bettye Davis East Anchorage has already played their next game, a 13-6 loss against Eagle River on the 17th. As for West Anchorage, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 32-25 victory against Bartlett on the 16th.
