Basketball Recap: Front Range Baptist Comes Up Short

Front Range Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 38-29 to the Front Range Christian Falcons.

When it comes to explaining why Front Range Baptist lost, don't look at Abbie VanDenBerghe. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. What's more, VanDenBerghe also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Hadyn Woods, who posted seven points in addition to eight assists and three steals.

Even though they lost, Front Range Baptist was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Front Range Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Front Range Christian, they moved to 1-3 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Front Range Baptist won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Briggsdale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Front Range Christian will take on Golden View Classical Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Golden View Classical Academy's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Front Range Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
