Baseball Recap: Grant Comes Up Short

If Grant was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Orchard View on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Spring Lake Lakers by a score of 9-8 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Saturday.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Spring Lake, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Grant has already played their next match (against Montague), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Spring Lake, they will head out on the road to square off against Holland Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers are facing the Maroons at the right time seeing as the Maroons are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
