Lompoc posted their closest victory since March 6th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Mission College Prep Royals 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won seven in a row.

Lily Drysol made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Drysol was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Drysol wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Aguilar, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Brynn Reyna also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lompoc's record now sits at 9-3. As for Mission College Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lompoc is set to challenge their familiar foe Cabrillo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mission College Prep will face off against rival Arroyo Grande at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
