Baseball Recap: Raymond Central Mustangs vs. Arlington Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Platte Valley, Raymond Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Arlington Eagles. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Owen Kreikemeier made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
