Basketball Recap: Nicollet Takes a Loss

After flying high against Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Thursday, Nicollet came back down to earth. The Nicollet Raiders took a 77-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loyola Crusaders on Friday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Nicollet's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Loyola, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Nicollet has already played their next game (against Madelia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Loyola won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Ulm Cathedral at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
