Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cory-Rawson). They took down the Elgin Comets 53-39 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Fighting Hornets as it spelled an end to their 15-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Cory-Rawson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Elgin, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Cory-Rawson will welcome Waynesfield-Goshen at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Cory-Rawson is facing Waynesfield-Goshen at the right time seeing as Waynesfield-Goshen is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
