Tintic won the last time they faced Altamont and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tintic Miners slipped by the Altamont Longhorns 42-41.

Tintic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mariana Pena, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. Those 13 points gave Pena a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Conder, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Tintic's record now sits at 8-14. As for Altamont, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, Tintic and Tabiona will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on February 26th. Altamont will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Panguitch at 4:00 p.m. on February 26th. Panguitch will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Altamont surely won't give up without a fight.
