Recap: North Shelby Raiders vs. Westran Hornets
The North Shelby Raiders pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Westran by a score of 58-56. North Shelby has not had much luck with Westran recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Marshall Kitchen was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Westran. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Dc Dale, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
North Shelby bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Westran, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
North Shelby will be home for the holidays to greet Monroe City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westran, they will head out on the road to face off against Knox County at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Knox County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
