Softball Recap: Tri-Valley Scotties vs. New Philadelphia Quakers

Tri-Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against New Philadelphia on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Quakers by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Quakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 on Saturday.

Ashlyn Davis spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Tri-Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney Bell, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
