Basketball Recap: Telstar Triumphs

Telstar hadn't done well against Richmond recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Telstar Rebels walked away with a 70-60 victory over the Richmond Bobcats. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Bobcats on January 8th, they had to take a 46-40 loss.

Telstar has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points per game. As for Richmond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Telstar will welcome Carrabec at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Richmond, they will venture away from home to face off against Monmouth Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Monmouth Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Richmond likes a good challenge.
