Softball Recap: Shaler Area Extends Winning Streak to Three

Shaler Area entered their tilt with Mars on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Fightin' Planets 16-0. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fightin' Planets, too.

Shaler Area's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mars, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shaler Area will host Fox Chapel at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mars, they will be playing at home against Plum at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Fightin' Planets will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
