Basketball Game Preview: Queen's Grant Stallions vs. SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles + Official Tickets

The Queen's Grant Stallions will head out to challenge the SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Queen's Grant will be strutting in after a victory while SouthLake Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.

While Stallions fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's season opener. They managed a 55-50 win over Victory Christian Center on Monday.

Chase Smith went supernova, as he made all 13 shots he took for 28 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Those 28 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bobby Montgomery III, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, SouthLake Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 90-56 loss at the hands of Greensboro Day School. The Eagles have struggled against the Bengals recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Queen's Grant skirted past SouthLake Christian Academy 56-53 in their previous matchup back in December of 2016. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Eagles' Madison Monroe, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 26 points and five boards.
