Baseball Recap: San Marino Has No Trouble Against Temple City

San Marino never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Temple City on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 11-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Jamie Bercaw and Aldo Cali did most of the damage at the plate: Bercaw scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Cali scored three runs while going 1-for-2. Those three runs gave Cali a new career-high. Chase Mena was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

San Marino is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Temple City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Marino will face off against La Salle at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Temple City, they will square off against Monrovia at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
