Football Recap: Point Pleasant Beach Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against South River last Friday, Point Pleasant Beach came back down to earth. The Garnet Gulls took a 42-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Asbury Park Bishops on Friday. The Garnet Gulls were down 42-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Point Pleasant Beach still got an impressive performance from Matthew Rossi, who threw for 247 yards and one TD, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. A healthy portion of Rossi's aerial production (120 yards to be exact) went to Elijah Ives.

Point Pleasant Beach's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
