Baseball Recap: Hilliard Davidson Comes Up Short

Hilliard Davidson couldn't beat Olentangy Orange on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Wildcats fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 5-4. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Hilliard Davidson saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Printz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Hilliard Davidson has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Olentangy Orange, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Hilliard Davidson will host Westerville North at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Olentangy Orange, they will venture away from home to face off against Dublin Coffman at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
