Volleyball Recap: New Site Comes Up Short

New Site was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Walnut Wildcats. The Royals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-12.

Johna Kate Lindley paced New Site's offense, picking up six kills. Lindley got some help from Claudi Ann Brown and her six assists. Finally, Baya Buse kept New Site's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Leading Walnut to victory were Vivian Brown and Taylor Garner. Brown had 23 assists and ten digs, while Garner had two aces. Those two aces gave Garner a new career-high.

New Site's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Walnut, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3-1 record this season.

New Site has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Hatley on the 18th. As for Walnut, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Falkner on the 20th.
