Football Recap: Lawrence Comes Up Short at Home Against North Shore

Lawrence unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the North Shore Vikings on Saturday, falling 34-14. The Golden Tornadoes haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The victory got North Shore back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence will head out to face off against East Rockaway at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Shore, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Malverne on the 27th.
