Volleyball Recap: Hebron Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Travis Carter and Antonio Pena

Hebron lost against Kouts last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hawks fell 3-1 to the Mustangs & Fillies.

Hebron was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Kouts work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 22-25, 26-24, 25-10.

Antonio Pena and Travis Carter certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Pena had 21 digs and two blocks, while Carter had 17 digs and two blocks. Carter has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times he's played.

Hebron's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Kouts, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Hebron will head out to challenge Munster at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Kouts, they will take on Washington Township at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Senators will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Mustangs & Fillies surely won't give up without a fight.
