Recap: Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights vs. Tidewater Academy Warriors
The Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They greeted the New Year with with a 40-24 win over Tidewater Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sadie Redlich led the charge by scoring two points along with 16 rebounds. Those 16 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Potter, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Tidewater Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot will take on Fuqua at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tidewater Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southampton Academy at 5:30 p.m. Southampton Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
