Volleyball Recap: Iola Beats Leon for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Iola had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Leon Cougars 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on October 7th.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24, 28-26.

Iola's victory bumped their record up to 42-5. As for Leon, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 26-7.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Iola and Kerens will shake off the rust and duke it out at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Leon, they will take on Burton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
