Basketball Recap: Mattoon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The Mattoon Greenwave came up short against the Williamsville Bullets on Tuesday and fell 71-64. The Greenwave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Williamsville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Neuhoff led the charge by shooting 46% from the field to rack up 18 points and four steals. Those 18 points gave Neuhoff a new career-high. Jackson Sanders was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Mattoon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Williamsville, their record now sits at 3-1.

Coming up, Mattoon will square off against Mahomet-Seymour at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Greenwave will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Williamsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Tremont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bullets will need to watch out since the Turks have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
