Basketball Recap: Missouri Valley Comes Up Short

Missouri Valley lost to Underwood back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Big Reds took a 65-50 bruising from the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Big Reds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Eagles are ranked 35th).

Missouri Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Underwood, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Coming up, Missouri Valley will challenge Treynor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Underwood has already played their next game (against West Harrison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
