Volleyball Recap: Howell Central Takes a Loss

Howell Central's tournament run continued when they took on Republic on Friday. The Spartans fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Howell Central might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Republic: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 26-24, 25-22.

Howell Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Republic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3-1.

Coincidentally, Howell Central and Republic will both be playing Lee's Summit North the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Broncos at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
