Baseball Game Preview: Hillsborough Terriers vs. Cambridge Christian Lancers

The Hillsborough Terriers will take on the Cambridge Christian Lancers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hillsborough will be strutting in after a victory while Cambridge Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Hillsborough turned things around against Spoto on Thursday. They blew past the Spartans 12-3.

Adriano Parral looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Hillsborough got a massive performance out of Curtis Roberts, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance gave Roberts a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Pena, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Cambridge Christian came up short against Calvary Christian on Thursday, falling 7-1.

Hillsborough's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Cambridge Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
