Football Preview: Raines Vikings vs. Riverside Generals        
        
		
            The Raines Vikings are taking a road trip to  challenge the Riverside Generals  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Raines has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 176 points over their last three games.
Two weeks ago,  everything came up roses for Raines against Lake Mary as the  team secured  a  51-3 win. Fans of the Vikings have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+  points.
 Timothy Cole was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 195 yards and two  TDs on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 50 yards and one  touchdown.  Tadarius Washington was another key player, rushing for 106 yards and one  score.
 Special teams also played a big role in the game for Raines, adding 21 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Eddie Hinton, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
 Another reason for the win was Raines' imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks.  Travis Williams was especially locked on to Lake Mary's QB and sacked him twice.
 Meanwhile, the third road  contest was the charm for Riverside, as they earned their first away  victory of the season. They slipped by Ribault  21-20 on Friday. Given the Generals' advantage  in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Trojans are ranked 287th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Raines' record is now 3-0. As for Riverside, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-4.
 Everything went Raines' way against Riverside in their previous meeting  back in September of 2024, as Raines made off with  a  62-42 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Generals'  Shermon Davis, who rushed for 215 yards and three  TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Now that he won't be playing  on Friday, will it be easier for the Vikings to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
