Softball Recap: Interlake Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Interlake had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bellevue Wolverines, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Saints have posted since April 30, 2025.

Albany Aponte (2027) made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Grace Martinez (2029) was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Jacky Jimenez (2027) was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI.

Interlake's record now sits at 9-3. As for Bellevue, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.

Interlake will face off against Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bellevue, they will take on Highline at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
