Baseball Recap: Borger Takes a Loss

Borger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pampa Harvesters. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Harvesters this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 back in March.

Ryler Moreno was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases.

Borger's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Pampa, they moved to 13-7-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Borger will venture away from home to challenge Dumas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pampa, they will head out to face off against Hereford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Whitefaces have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
