Softball Recap: Fargo North Beats Valley City for Their Fourth Straight Win

Fargo North won against Fargo South on Monday with 20 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Spartans put the hurt on the Valley City Hi-Liners with a sharp 20-14 win. Considering the Spartans have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Fargo North's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Valley City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Fargo North is set to take on their familiar foe Fargo Davies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Valley City will face off against rival Horace at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
