Basketball Recap: Foothill Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Foothill can now relate to. They came up short against the Legacy Longhorns on Friday, falling 68-45. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Alabama Nieves continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Legacy, going 6-for-9 from beyond the arc on her way to 31 points and four steals. The match was Nieves' eighth in a row with at least 16 points. Laila Gines was another key player, going 6-for-13 en route to 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Legacy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Foothill nor Legacy have any future games scheduled.
