Basketball Recap: First Presbyterian Day Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact First Presbyterian Day can now relate to. They came up short against the John Milledge Academy Trojans on Tuesday, falling 57-36. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Isaiah Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for John Milledge Academy, putting up 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Johnson also posted four blocks, which is notable because John Milledge Academy is undefeated when he posts at least three blocks, but 6-12 otherwise. Asa Wall was another key player, scoring nine points and eight boards.

First Presbyterian Day's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for John Milledge Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.

First Presbyterian Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Milledge Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-38 loss against Stratford Academy on the 13th.
