Baseball Game Preview: Central A & M Raiders vs. Vandalia Vandals

The Central A & M Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Vandalia Vandals at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither Central A & M nor Vandalia posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Central A & M fell victim to St. Teresa and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Vandalia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Gillespie, falling 7-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Vandalia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Buscher, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Central A & M's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Vandalia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Central A & M suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Vandalia in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
