Newberry waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Crescent City Raiders by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Raiders on September 6th, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

The win didn't come easy: Crescent City scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19.

Livi Clanton paced Newberry's offense, picking up six kills. Clanton got some help from Kinsley Harvey and her ten assists. Carly Myers controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Newberry's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Crescent City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Newberry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Union County on the 29th. As for Crescent City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against First Baptist Christian Academy on the 29th.
