Calumet Christian entered their tilt with West Central on Saturday with five consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17.

Carolyn Archer paced Calumet Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Archer got some help from Janelle Barbarossa and her 22 assists. Makenna Landkrohn controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the loss, West Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tenley Bohlinger had ten digs.

Calumet Christian's record now sits at 5-0. As for West Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Calumet Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Whiting on the 25th. As for West Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Knox on the 25th.
