Baseball Recap: Clintondale Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fitzgerald, Clintondale was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Sterling Heights Stallions. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stallions, too.

Blake Grime was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Xavior Raker, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Clintondale's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sterling Heights, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clintondale will head out to take on Mott at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sterling Heights, they will venture away from home to challenge New Haven at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
