Inside the Numbers

Teams in the MaxPreps National Top 50 are putting up eye-popping numbers in 2008

 

No. 1 South Pointe (Rock Hill, S.C.) – The new No. 1 this week has been dominant all season long en route to a 9-0 record. Quarterback Stephon Gilmore has rushed for a team-high 684 yards and 16 touchdowns while throwing for 991 yards and four scores. Quinton Darby has nine touchdown runs this season, with Devin Wherry checking in with six rushing scores.

 

The Stallions have outscored their opponents 407-40 this season, including posting four shutouts on defense. Harold White leads the team with 104 tackles, while Pete Roseboro has 97 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Marquise Moore leads the team with four sacks, and Pat Burris has intercepted three passes to lead the defensive backfield.
