Baseball Recap: Archbishop Carroll's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Archbishop Carroll won the last time they faced Brito and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Brito Panthers. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Archbishop Carroll got a great performance from STEVEN NUNEZ as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Archbishop Carroll is 3-0-1 when NUNEZ allowsthree or fewer hits, but 4-5 otherwise.

At the plate, ANGELLO CHAVIANO was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Archbishop Carroll's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 4-5-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of NICOLAS CARRILLO, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Archbishop Carroll's record is now 7-5-1. As for Brito, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Archbishop Carroll didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Immaculata-La Salle on the 13th. As for Brito, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-7 win against Goleman on the 12th.
