Basketball Recap: Johnson County Wins Going Away Against Happy Valley

Johnson County hadn't done well against Happy Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Johnson County Longhorns took down the Happy Valley Warriors 38-24. This was payback for the Longhorns, who suffered a 63-62 loss the last time these two teams met.

Johnson County found their leader in freshman Audrey Shaw, who posted 15 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Mimi Zaldivar was another key player, putting up five points and four steals.

Johnson County's victory bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Happy Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Johnson County has already played their next matchup, a 77-71 win against South Greene on the 24th. As for Happy Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-30 defeat against West Greene on the 24th.
