Otay Ranch is a perfect 10-0 against Mater Dei Catholic since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will host the Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Otay Ranch didn't have quite enough to beat Eastlake and fell 3-2. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Otay Ranch wouldn't go down easily and took Eastlake into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-18, 25-21, 23-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Mater Dei Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Bonita Vista on Wednesday and fell 3-2. While the Crusaders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Barons 25-15 in the first set.

Mater Dei Catholic started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 26-28, 25-18, 25-23, 15-9.

Otay Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 20-14. As for Mater Dei Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-11.

Otay Ranch came out on top in a nail-biter against Mater Dei Catholic in their previous meeting last Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
