The Marshall County Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Franklin County Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Marshall County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Marshall County is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lawrence County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 7-4 to the Wildcats. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Madison Mason was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Zakiya Taylor was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Franklin County posted their closest victory since March 30, 2024 on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Central Magnet 1-0. The Rebels haven't had any issues with Central Magnet recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Marshall County's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Franklin County, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4.

Marshall County came up short against Franklin County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 11-7. Can Marshall County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
