Football Game Preview: South Adams Starfires vs. North Miami Warriors

The South Adams Starfires are taking a road trip to challenge the North Miami Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

South Adams is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 42-14 win over Hagerstown. The victory was familiar territory for the Starfires, who have now won six games in a row.

Will Patterson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, picking up 76 receiving yards and two scores, while also rushing for 39 yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made three total tackles.

South Adams' run defense was locked in: Hagerstown could only muster 3.4 yards per carry. While two picked up at least six total tackles, Kaleb Minger stood above the rest. He picked up two sacks, made six total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception. South Adams' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.9.

South Adams' defense didn't let Graham Vinson, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Minger with two. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for North Miami on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Fremont out of the water with a 51-7 final score. The Warriors have beaten the Eagles the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

South Adams' record is now 9-3. As for North Miami, their record now sits at an identical 9-3.

South Adams strolled past North Miami in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a score of 40-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Starfires since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
