Volleyball Recap: Peetz Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Peetz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Weldon Valley Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Peetz sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 17-25, 25-19, 23-25, 16-14.

Nataleigh Kalb paced Peetz's offense, picking up 16 kills. Kalb got some help from Rylee Raffelson and her 22 assists. Kalb also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Joslynn Pennington, each putting up five.

Peetz's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Weldon Valley, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-13.

Peetz has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Prairie on the 17th. As for Weldon Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lone Star on the 23rd.
