Christian Brothers has gone 9-1 against Chaminade recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. On Thursday, Christian Brothers got the win against Gateway Legacy Christian Academy by a conclusive 10-4. The victory continues a trend for the Cadets in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.
Dan Bergner looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Anthony Tocco was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Patrick Effer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one double.
Christian Brothers hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Chaminade had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 12-8 win over Washington on Saturday. The Red Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Henry Houseworth looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anthony Wohlstadter, who went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Jackson Miller was another key player, going 3-for-6 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Chaminade picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-15. As for Christian Brothers, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Christian Brothers took their win against Chaminade in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
